Erinnerung(en)
Das Zitat stand als Postkarte, zumindest solange ich zurückdenken kann, auf dem Regal neben dem Sofa im Wohnzimmer meiner Mutter. Heute wäre sie 85 Jahre alt geworden. Unsere Mutter. Schwer finde ich es, den Tag ohne sie zu begehen – diesen ersten Geburtstag ohne sie. So wie all diese vielen „ersten Male“ in diesem Jahr. Dankbar bin ich, dass ich sie so lange für mich hatte. Vielleicht ist es auch einfach besonders, als Tochter die Mutter zu verlieren. Noch immer, wenn was Außergewöhnliches geschieht, denke ich: Was mache ich denn jetzt? Wen rufe ich denn jetzt zuerst an? Wem erzähle ich zuerst davon? Wirklich bewusst geworden ist mir das an dem Tag, an dem ich die Nachricht von ihrem Tod bekam. Mein erster Impuls war: Mutter anrufen. Tja, und schon stand ich mitten im Dilemma. Sieben Monate ist das her. Es gab schon viele Momente, in denen ich mich gern an sie gewandt hätte. Heute hätten wir uns wahrscheinlich zum Familienessen getroffen. 85 Jahre sind schließlich eine Feier wert. Nun erinnern wir uns feierlich. Jede:r auf ihre und seine Weise.

„The Landscape I’d always dreamed of
The book that I am asking for your help in financing, entitled Parallel Landscapes, is a collection of photographs of a massive construction site in the southwest corner of San Francisco taken from 1990 to 1993. To be specific, 47 photographs, distilled down from the over one hundred finished pieces this project generated. It’s my personal feeling that these photographs constitute the finest body of work I’ve produced in my more than 50 years as a photographer.
All of the photographs for this book were made with a 4×5 view camera with a variety of lenses, on Kodak T-Max 100 film, developed in Agfa Rodinal and carefully printed in the darkroom. Read more…

Mit „components“ sammle ich Porträtfotos enthusiastischer, kreativer Menschen auf der ganzen Welt. Alle Fotos sind willkommen, von bis zu professionellen Porträtaufnahmen. Hier im Blog kann man verfolgen, wer teilnimmt, wer sich neu vorstellt, wer was über sich sagt, wer aus welchen Ländern und Kontinenten kommt.

„components“ – der Hintergrund
Wer wie ich, in einem Dorf aufwuchs, lernte früh die Grundregeln von sozialen Netzwerken kennen.
Wer kennt wen? Wo bekomme ich was? Wer weiß alles und vergisst nichts?
Wo finden sich die gleichen Interessen zusammen?
Heute heißt diese Dorfgemeinschaft auch „Social Media“.
Menschen kennen und neu kennen lernen, stetig in Kontakt zu sein, Informationen
austauschen, gemeinsame Interessen entdecken und verfolgen.
Die Kommunikation und das Miteinander finden jetzt in einem
geografisch und zeitlich unbegrenzten Rahmen statt.
Kommunikation, Information, Neugierde, Kunst, Projekte, Fotografie, Zusammenarbeit sind die Bausteine meines Projektes „components“ die ich in einem Experiment zusammenfüge. Gemeinsam mit Fotografen, Foto-Enthusiaten und kreativen Köpfen aus aller Welt soll ein physisch greifbares Exponat entstehen.
„components“ – die Person dahinter
Seit drei Jahren arbeite ich als Berufsfotografin in München, Amsterdam und Oslo. Ich besuchte die “Fotoacademie Amsterdam”, Workshops mit z. B. Prof. Harald Mante, und absolviere zur Zeit das Studium “Künstlerische Fotografie” an der Prager Fotoschule Österreich.
In meinem früheren Berufsleben hieß mein Arbeitsplatz „Europa“: Amsterdam, Oslo, Dresden, München, Wien, Tromsø, Edinburgh, Budapest, Stockholm, Prag, und auf vielen anderen Plätzen der Welt, z. B. Brasilien, V.A.R, leben Menschen dir mir sehr wichtig sind. Social Media erhält nun unser Netzwerk.
Fotografen sind neugierig, immer auf der Suche nach interessanten Geschichten, Motiven in allen Kulturen. Die neue Vernetzung mit kreativen Menschen ist ein großer Gewinn für mich und meine Arbeit.
Ohne diese Netzwerke mit wunderbaren, kreativen Menschen wäre ich nicht auf „components“ als Teil des „projectsocialmedia“ gekommen.

Digital images become components of a physical picture – via social media
Hello,
I am curating a photography exhibition on “social media” in Austria this coming May.
As part of this exciting event, I am putting together a personal project entitled “components” which
revolves around social media and the creative people in it.
I am collecting self-portraits from creative minds around the world who I had the opportunity to meet
and appreciate through social media.
All images will become “components” of a collage of over 1000 self-portraits from all over the world,
printed on canvas, forming one part of the exhibition “social media”.
My project “components” is a reflection of the growing possibilities of social media.
It is a platform for networking collaborations, exchanges of experiences and ideas.
It also shows the impacts on our own creative process.
From now until April, a blog shows the daily progress, makes transparent who joins in with a new
image, who says what and who comes from which country or continent.
All participants have the opportunity to put links to their own website on this blog.
Should you prefer not to appear on the blog, please let me know.
I believe you will be an asset to my project, and would be grateful if you would take part in
